The Principal is a recognized Supervisor by the Pondicherry University to guide candidates leading to Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science & Engineering. So far 8 candidates have been awarded Doctorate under his guidance and 1 is awaiting viva-voce examination. He continues to guide and presently 3 research scholars are working under him. 

All the staff members of this Institute who have not completed Ph.D are pursuing Research in various Universities.

The college is in the process of applying to various Research organizations such as Department of Science, Technology and Environment, Government of Puducherry ;  AICTE, New Delhi ;  Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi, IGCAR, Kalpakkam for research projects.
